History
Established in 1937, and originally called the Hood View Hotel, the Inn was built by Derrick Zwynen, a local businessman. Nestled in the heart of White Salmon, the historic inn served as a cozy retreat for newlyweds, schoolteachers, railroad workers, and traveling salesmen. In the early 1980s, it underwent a transformation to a European aesthetic, and was renamed the Inn of the White Salmon to reflect its new found elegance. Today, under the ownership of Flo and Nicole Nimesch, the Inn features a modern decor and simple comforts. Its beautifully landscaped gardens and patio have become beloved spaces for guests to enjoy throughout the summer months, continuing its legacy as a serene getaway for travelers and locals alike.
